The International Criminal Court created in 1998 is now operational. The talk will describe the main features of the court, including when it can prosecute the crimes of Genocide, War Crimes, and Crimes against Humanity. Finally, we will discuss US objections to the court, and the role of human rights activist groups in establishing the international criminal court.
